Laser therapy

We are one of a very few practices to offer Class IV laser therapy. Class IV laser therapy reduces inflammation, reduces pain, speeds up healing and is tolerated well and often enjoyed by our patients.

Our laser therapy is a non-invasive, non-painful method of providing relief from a range of conditions.

A number of our patients are treated regularly with laser therapy, particularly dogs with osteoarthritis, where the laser provides an anti-inflammatory and pain relieving effect that can often reduce the requirement for medication, and vastly improve the quality of life of our pets.

We offer an initial course of 6 sessions (with a discount if the full course is taken up) and as a general rule we suggest two treatments per week for three weeks, reducing to once weekly depending on how your pet responds to the treatment. We also offer individual single treatments if indicated.

Treatments can often be done during a normal 15-minute consultation, but should take no more than 30 minutes.

As all of our nurses are trained to use the laser machine, we can be quite flexible on when we can offer this for your pet.
