We are a small animal practice in Cardiff. Your pets are our priority and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Our aim is to welcome clients and their pets, old and new, to our surgeries, offering professional advice and compassionate care.
Joao graduated in 2004 in Portugal and has worked mainly with companion animals after completing two years of mixed practice. Working in the UK since 2010, he has worked mainly in emergency and OOH medicine for different hospitals and clinics in South Wales and England. Joao completed his PhD in cardiac physiology at Cardiff University in 2016 and is now the clinical director of Morgan’s and Petherton’s Cardiff veterinary practices. In his free time he enjoys walks in the countryside and travelling with his family.
Charlotte Baker BVSc MRCVS
Charlotte has worked for and been based mainly at our Cowbridge Road branch for over 15 years. She owns two dogs called Twiglet and Basil (Twigs can usually be found napping in the back of the surgery), and enjoys taking them for long walks during her time off.
Rebecca Fernandes BVetMed MRCVS
Becki graduated in 2016 from the Royal Veterinary College in London. Born and bred in Cardiff, she joined the team in November 2018 after being introduced by her fiancée – our vet Ollie! Becki enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, and is currently improving her ultrasound techniques. Outside of work, Becki enjoys going for walks with Ollie and their young Cocker Spaniel, Ned.
Oliver Golden BVetMed MRCVS
Ollie graduated in 2016 from the Royal Veterinary College in London. Originally from Buxton in Derbyshire, Ollie moved to Cardiff with Becki after graduation. Ollie joined our Marlborough Road branch in September 2018, and is enjoying developing his interest in small animal surgery. Outside of work, Ollie is a keen number 8 and currently plays for Rhiwbina RFC.
Liliana Vieira MRCVS
Lily graduated in 2016 from Lisbon University in Portugal. Originally from Madeira, Lily moved to Cardiff in July 2018. She started her new job at the practice soon after and particularly enjoys internal medicine and oncology cases. Outside of work, Lily enjoys spending time with her family, eating treats from the Portuguese bakery and playing with her cousins new kitten, Floss!
